Back
massage or Kativasti and Knee massage or Janu vasti
Kati Vasti is a process in
which a rounded wall/Boundry of blackgram paste is kept at the affected
area and slowly
pouring in warm oil into it and removing gently with a
spoon..As explained on page Backproblems ..
Similarly for knee, one should keep in mind that the oil must not be so
hot..its should be warm and warmer so that it gives a nice relief on
affected area,Patient should not feel hot oil..but a tickling of warm
oil on affected area
Again there is one more process in similar way for cervical pains and
that is called as Greeva vasthi..A boundry is made on greeva or neck
portion on back where patient complains of pain..Then same process is
repeated
So these three vasthis are so popular in Ayurveda that every patient
requires either of them
it give complete relief to pain and contineous use of such therapies
may cure the problem completely,Fourth one which exist is
Urovasthi..its is done on chest for diseases like heart problem and
asthama etc!!
This should not be done more than 45 Minutes and you can do it on
regular basis for a week then after twice a week and finishing by one
in a week minimum..
One should not practice all these therapies without a doctor or a
specialist !!
